Phil Sproson is a landscape photographer from the Peak District. His passion for photography began during his 30’s and he has spent the last two decades honing his craft, capturing stunning images of the natural world around him. His unique vision and exceptional technical skills have made him a respected figure in the photography community and his work has been featured in galleries, exhibitions, and publications both nationally and internationally.
Born and raised close to the Peak District, and now living in the Derbyshire village of Hathersage, Phil has a deep connection to the landscape and the natural beauty that surrounds him. This connection is reflected in his photography, which often focuses on the stunning landscapes and natural features of the area. Phil’s work captures the essence of the Peak District, from the dramatic moorland to the rugged hills and valleys, and his images are infused with a sense of place and a strong emotional resonance.
Phil’s style is characterised by his use of the light which he uses to create mood and atmosphere in his images. He is also known for his technical expertise, with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of photography and a mastery of post-processing techniques. This technical skill is evident in the clarity and sharpness of his images, which are often richly detailed and full of texture.
The work housed within The Buxton Trading Post is varied, from jigsaws to prints and calendars, not to mention a gorgeous coffee table book that transports the viewer through the seasons of the Peak District.
